Mission Statement The mission of ECTA is to develop people for meaningful careers in the counselling service. As an academy, we want to play an instrumental role in developing adult learners' counselling capabilities and people competencies, critical to the counselling profession. Our counselling courses are unique, as we encourage counselling interns to go for personal therapy and supervision. We also encourage students to improve in certain areas, participating in forums and professional seminars, so that they can better prepare as professional counsellors. We engage highly experienced teachers, including very established psychiatrists, experienced psychologists, competent psychotherapists and counsellors to teach and provide deep insights into actual clients' issues and concerns. We offer a range of courses, emphasizing in three key areas - Knowledge, Competency and Professionalism. Beyond knowledge and counselling skills, ECTA encourages our graduands to uphold moral and ethical conduct, by prioritising clients' welfare above all.
